In a significant stride towards enhancing surgical capabilities, USA Health has inaugurated five advanced operating rooms at University Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. This expansion, encompassing over 15,000 square feet, introduces four traditional operating rooms and a hybrid suite equipped with cutting-edge imaging technology. The hybrid suite, featuring a Philips Azurion system, facilitates complex procedures such as cardiac, vascular, and neurosurgical interventions by integrating real-time imaging with surgical instruments.
The new operating rooms are designed to accommodate the latest in surgical robotics and imaging systems, including C-arms for orthopedic surgeries. These upgrades are expected to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes by providing surgeons with enhanced precision and real-time data during procedures. Additionally, the expansion includes a 12-bed post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring comprehensive postoperative care for patients.
