UCSF and Stanford Launch $200 Million Cancer Research Hub

In July 2025, a transformative collaboration between the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Stanford Cancer Institute culminated in the establishment of the Weill Cancer Hub West. This ambitious $200 million initiative, propelled by a $100 million matching grant from the Weill Family Foundation, aims to revolutionize cancer research and treatment over the next decade. Both institutions have committed to raising an additional $50 million each, bringing the total funding to $200 million .

The hub's inaugural projects include:
